The Life App

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas! I have found a free Pro Life app for iPhones and iPads! It is called The Life App. The Life App is an app that will help you respond to crisis pregnancy situations by showing you how to use empathy and love towards women in a crisis pregnancy situation, how to respond to these women, and the perspective of women in these situations. The Life App also has information on FOCUS (The Fellowship of Catholic University Students) and the Sisters of Life. This app is a great opportunity!

Today is Christmas Eve and I am very anxiously awaiting the coming of Our Savior! Today we pray for all Pro Life speakers, that they may spread the message of life in a clear and honest way that will share the sacredness of life with others. Prayers:
O Lord, your glory is complete, and you came to us in wonderful humility as a child in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The love you have for us, and Your humility is unsurpassed and shall bring us down to our knees in prayer.
Your birth and incarnation brought joy and peace into our broken world.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and forever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

O Lord Jesus, fill us with Joy and hope! The birth of all children is a cause for great joy, and even more is the birth of You! We pray in union with Our Lady, for a greater joy this Christmas and that the birth of all Children may be cherished.

We also pray for these intentions… (State your intentions here)

Advocating for Life in this Christmas Season

Hello Everyone!
I am here to talk about the true meaning of Christmas. Many children's movies and holiday books talk about how giving gifts and generosity is the root of Christmas, but we must remember what we are celebrating. Christmas has another name that clearly points out what this holiday is all about.
In the Catholic Church we call this holiday the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We are celebrating Our Lord's entry into the world, His birth from the Virgin Mother, His incarnation.

This is a celebration commemorating the Creator becoming His created and the Lord's first steps along the road to His Crucifixion. In other words, giving is not the reason for the season.
During this holiday, more than any other, my thoughts turn to those waiting in the womb.
If you think about it, Mary was in a crisis pregnancy, without a husband and yet betrothed, in a society where the common punishment for women in her situation was stoning. Mary had said "yes" to the angel, accepting the Will of God, and she never wavered from this path. Mary had so much courage, and Joseph, her earthly spouse, was so open to Life and the message from the angel, that our Lord was born despite all of the difficulties the Holy Family met along their way to Bethlehem.
We can only pray that young women today say "yes" to Life as Mary did, that they have courage.
We Pray to the Holy Mother that she intercedes for young women faced with crisis situations, helping them to choose Life.

I encourage you all to pray with Mother Mary for these young women, their partners, and their future children especially during this blessed Christmas Season.

God Bless, Magda

Our Lady of Guadalupe - Patron of the Pro-Life Movement

Hello Everyone!
I am a little late, but I wanted to share with you the patron saint of the Pro-Life Movement, Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is easy to understand why Our Blessed Mother is the Patroness of the fight for life, but there are several specific reasons why Our Lady of Guadalupe is specifically chosen as the patroness.
Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego, a native Mexican (Aztec), in the year 1531 at a time when the Aztecs still practiced ritualistic human sacrifice. The Blessed Mother’s appearance to a people deeply rooted in demonic human sacrifice rituals forever changed the course of history in that country. Millions of native Mexicans converted to the Catholic faith, which put an end to their human sacrifice. Because abortion is a modern-day human sacrifice, Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the pro-life movement. This is also the only time that Our Lady appeared to people as pregnant instead of holding Our Lord in her arms. For some other illuminating facts on Our Lady of Guadalupe's apparition, please click here

We pray to our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe to intercede with us during our battle for Life, that she will be with the expectant mothers in crisis situations in their hours of need.
God Bless, Magda

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from all of us at Crafting For Life!

Christmas Novena Day 6

Good morning and Peace be with you! I would like to share with you a quote from St. John Paul II, “As the family goes, so goes the nation... and the whole world in which we live.” Our world is beginning to lose the value of life within the family. We as supporters of life must also protect the families in which children are being born into so that those children can live a life in union with the will of God. Today we especially ask for the intercession of the Holy Family, that the families of our world may trust in Jesus and his mercy, and be the family God created them to be.

This novena will be dedicated to praying for an end to abortion, and for the understanding of the sacredness of all human life!

Our Very First Mail-in!

Hello Everybody.
I would like to apologize for not posting in a little while, Finals week is always a busy time. Now that I am back, I have some very exciting news.
We are hosting our first mail-in!
Many of the posts on this blog are devoted to crafting baby clothes so that you can make lovely beanies and blankets and all manners of things for life centers. This coming year we will be hosting a mail-in every two months, where you will be sending all of your handmade goodies to one of the blog authors for them to take to their nearby Life Center/Pro-life organization.

This mail-in is my turn, so you will be sending your things to me to package up and send to Life Centers, who will then give these special items, full of love and care, to expectant mothers who need our support.

To participate, please message me on gmail (just follow my profile) and I will give you the mailing address.
This mail-in will last through December and January, I will take all items to the centers in mid-February. If by the time you need to mail-in you still have unfinished projects, no worries because there will be another mail-in in March.
Let me know if you are interested in mailing in or if you have any questions on what to donate down below in the comment section.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you, because with every baby beanie you stitch you make a difference.

God bless, Magda
